This original 1980s extension had definitely seen better days and the owners were definitely ready for change. It was time for a significant revamp with a more aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient replacement which would serve the whole family and their different needs. The new contemporary extension was to provide the family with a beautiful and spacious kitchen and family room which has, without doubt, delivered on the dream. Utilising modern building materials and techniques, we ensured that the project attained the desired energy efficient standards too.

The extension itself needed to be lowered to the same level as the patio, in order to facilitate a smoother transition from inside to outside. We brought in a zinc cladding specialist from Sevenoaks to deliver on the client’s detailed spec for the contemporary and very stylish extension roof. 

One of the biggest challenges faced by the Brooks and Gill team on this extension project was the delightful British weather! Heavy rainfall repeatedly delayed work on site and required real grit and determination to stay on track and for the project not to get derailed! Despite the weather, we efficiently completed the work within expected timescale and, on all fronts, the client was super happy with the end result.
