original oak-framed games room for family fun!

Whilst having the privilege of working on an extensive refurbishment and modernisation of an historic Sussex residence, we had the opportunity to re-purpose all the salvaged original oak timbers from the main works to use in this secondary recreational construction project. Away from the main house, towards the bottom of the garden, we created a beautiful private space intended for family games evenings and made almost exclusively from the salvaged oak timbers.

The oak-framed room was oak cladded and fitted with engineered oak floorboards, as well as  oak windows and doors thanks to the home-sourced wood. The attractive pitched roof rested above the vaulted ceiling which added extra space in the recreation room for a more enjoyable environment when playing table tennis amongst other activities!
